This morning Google Reader brought these little gems to my computer screen:
They came via A Little Great, another new blog I follow. That got me wondering, where do you buy fabric online? I love these prints from Tonic Living and am fearful that I am missing out on some other great fabric sites. So please share! I'll compile a list in our right side bar for future reference. And for those that asked, I will put together a step by step "how to us your Google Reader" to appear later this week.
Those fabrics are gorgeous! The only place I've ordered from is fabric.com. My order came quickly and there were little stickers indicating the yardage, fabric content, and care. My sister ordered me some ruffle fabric for Christmas. I haven't received it yet b/c she didn't want to send it home (where we were surprising my mom for Christmas). Anyway, I'm excited to sew with it!
ReplyDeleteI generally buy from QuiltHome.com. They have great sales and fab customer service. My orders typically arrive within 4-5 days, too. Love the fabics above, especially the oranges:)
ReplyDeleteI second fabric.com. I've ordered from them twice and have been thoroughly pleased. We live overseas and they'll ship to our FPO address, so that is an added bonus! BTW-google reader is the best!
ReplyDeleteI don't really like fabric.com, I usually can't find anything cute or that I like. I really like FabricWorm and etsy. Search for novelty prints on etsy.com and there are hundreds of stores selling cute fabric! You can often find what you want at a discount, too! Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteI love FatQuarterShop.com and Hawthorne Threads. Hancock's of Paducah's online store is awesome, as well.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to buy online because I don't have a local quilt shop.
For all things in fabric news, check out Kim at True Up. She runs a fabulous site.
I just found out about a site called superbuzzy.com. They have lots of cool Japanese prints...
ReplyDeleteAnother shout out for FatQuarterShop. I also frequently check Etsy for great Japanese fabrics. A good store is this one...

Thanks for the shout out to A Little Great. I have to buy fabric online right now and I usually have good luck with Fabritopia, Pink Chalk, and Fabric.com.
ReplyDeleteI've never bought fabric online, but have wondered where good sites were since our local shops don't exactly have...variety.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. Thanks so much!!
It looks as though you like the bright modern prints -- check out Fresh Squeezed Fabrics. An excellent selection and best service: http://www.etsy.com/shop/freshsqueezedfabrics
ReplyDeleteTry looking at a The Fabric Shopper Blog

She is sponsored by many on line fabric sellers. I've purchased from several of them and have been very pleased. Each week she highlights fabric sales which I love!
Fabricworm! I am completely loyal - I love the selection, quality, and customer service - correspondence is always direct with the owner! Beware of fake designer fabrics on Etsy though (Kind Supplier is one) - they will charge you designer prices for complete knock-offs. Always check for the selvedge edge in photos, and if they don't show it, ASK! Also anything that ships from Korea, Taiwan, etc..
ReplyDeleteI love those fabrics !!

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your post on using google reader. I find my self all over the place trying to figure it out.
