Making It Official: Clothing Labels

Lately I have really been wanting to get labels made for my clothing. Something to sew into the neck or side seam of my clothing to distinguish it as my own - something that I labored over for hours - something that makes it uniquely my creation and somehow a more professional one.

Here are some links to sites that will make these labels for you. If you have other suggestions please let me know.

www.clothinglabels4u.com
www.customcouturelabelcompany.com
www.namemaker.com

Now the hard part is deciding on a name/logo.

  2. I used Clothinglabels4u for both my labels and was very pleased. The smallest quantity you can order is 250 but I'm always surprised at how often I use them. 250 really isn't that many!

  5. I have orderd sew in labels for my quilts and baby items that I sell on Etsy through another Etsy seller, MommieMadeIt. I was really happy with the price and quality but they are slightly stiffer than I'd want to use in clothing.

So let us know if you do end up ordering any and which site you used. I'd love to get some made for my clothig projects that have a softer feel to them.

  7. Check this blog out for making your own iron on labels (http://pepperberryandco.blogspot.com/2009/05/6-step-iron-on-labels-for-your-crafty.html) - I'm going to have a go at these for my next project! The name - Built by Ange (since that's what my daughter says when she's wearing one of the dresses I've made her "Mummy built this!!").

  8. I use namemaker.com for my labels. I think their prices were reasonable for small runs and they did a good job. You might want to thing about having your website put on them too.
